Why Use a Custom Sender Domain?
What is this about?
By default, Storebeep sends back-in-stock notification emails on your behalf from the Storebeep email address. Customers will see something like:
From: Your Store Name via Storebeep <[email protected]>
With a custom sender domain, you can send emails from your own email address instead. For example:
From: Your Store Name <[email protected]>
Why does this matter?
There are a few good reasons to send emails from your own domain:
Better brand recognition
When customers see an email from your own domain, they are more likely to recognize it, open it, and trust it. It feels like a natural part of your store experience instead of a third-party notification.
Improved email deliverability
Emails sent from a properly verified domain tend to land in the inbox more reliably. Email providers like Gmail and Outlook give higher trust to emails that have proper authentication records (SPF, DKIM, and DMARC) set up.
Professional appearance
No "via Storebeep" label in the sender line. Just your brand name and your domain. Clean and professional.
Which plan do I need?
Custom sender domain is available on the Ultra plan. If you are on a different plan, you will see a prompt to upgrade when you try to set it up.
Can I use a free email address like Gmail or Yahoo?
No. Custom sender domains must use your own domain (like yourstore.com). Free email providers like gmail.com, yahoo.com, and outlook.com are not supported because they cannot be verified in the same way.
You need a domain that you own and can add DNS records to.
Sounds complicated. Do I need to be technical?
Setting up a custom sender domain involves adding a few DNS records to your domain provider. It is not as scary as it sounds, and we have a step-by-step guide to walk you through it. See Setting Up Your Domain.
