How does Storebeep place the Notify Me button?

Storebeep offers two ways to show the Notify Me button on your store:

1. Automatic placement (recommended)

This is the default. When you activate the app embed, Storebeep automatically detects out-of-stock products and shows the Notify Me button in the right spot. It works on most themes without any extra setup.

The button replaces or appears near the Add to Cart area when a product (or a specific variant) is out of stock.

2. Manual placement using theme blocks

If automatic placement does not work well with your theme, or you want more control over exactly where the button appears, you can use the theme block instead.

To use manual placement:

Open the Shopify theme editor (Online Store > Themes > Customize).
Navigate to a product page.
In the left sidebar, click Add block or Add section.
Look for Notify Me Button under the Apps section.
Drag it to where you want it to appear.
Save the theme.

When you add the theme block manually, the automatic placement is disabled so you do not get duplicate buttons.

Which option should I use?

For most stores, automatic placement works great and requires no extra effort. Try it first.

Consider manual placement if:

Your theme has a non-standard product page layout
You want the button in a very specific location
Automatic detection is not picking up the right spot on your theme

Does it work with all themes?

Storebeep works with the majority of Shopify themes, both free and paid. The automatic placement uses smart detection to find the right location for the button.

If you are using a heavily customized theme and the button is not appearing correctly, try the manual placement option. And if you are still having trouble, let our support team know and we will help you get it working.

Can I show the button on collection pages?

Yes. The app embed handles collection pages automatically. When a product is out of stock, the Notify Me button can appear next to it on collection pages as well.

You can customize the collection button appearance separately from the product page button in the Appearance settings.
